Richard Jeffery Young was born on October 8, 1968 in Brooklyn New York. He grew up in the Red Hook section of South Brooklyn. He attended P.S.15 Elementary School, Sacred Hearts Middle School, and John Jay High School. He attended Visitation church where he made his Holy Communion and Confirmation.

In the early 90’s Rich moved to Muskegon Michigan and met his wife Jennifer Borgerding. They were blessed to have 2 children together. Cora Louise Young and Richard William Young. Rich became a grandfather when Cora had 2 beautiful children of her own Cara Marie Scottow and Landon Robert Scottow. Although Rich and Jennifer would later divorce, they remained friends.

Throughout his life Rich always had great pleasure in cooking. From his early days working at the local Pizzeria to owning his own Pizza delivery business. Rich was known by many as The Pizza Man.

In late 2020 Rich was diagnosed with terminal liver disease and on October 3,2020 after a very strong fight he passed away peacefully in his sleep. His mesmerizing sense of humor and his great kindness will be missed by many.
