Jean's Obituary

Jean Ann Mackie Pachuta passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at 78 years of age.

Jean was born in Newark, New Jersey, the daughter to the late James and Mary Mackie. Her family moved to West Virginia when she was in eighth grade. She later met a young man in high school by the name of Joseph Pachuta, and they married June 9, 1962 in Fairmont, West Virginia.

They moved to Baltimore, Maryland in 1965, where she became very active with the PTA and started working for a furniture store where she learned about furnishing and decorating homes. In 1983 the family moved to Rochester Hills, Michigan where Jean became a soccer mom. There she also worked for EDS as an administrative assistant until her retirement in 1996.

After retirement Jean became active in many clubs. It also gave her time to travel to Scotland and visit Glasgow and Edinburgh, the birth places of her parents. She had many interests and hobbies which included her family and grandchildren, singing, sewing, decorating, cards, traveling, women's clubs, making new friends, eating out, crafts and helping others, just to mention a few.

She is survived by the love of her life for 57 years, Joseph Pachuta; her loving children Mary (Jeremy) Sabio of Sugar Land, Texas; Sharpn (Gerald) Paquette of Amherstburg, Ontario, Canada; Michael Pacuta of Sylvan Lake, Michigan and daughter-in-law Brooke Pachuta; her dearest grandchildren Samantha Dignazio, Rachael Dignazio, Jeanna Dignazio, Alexndra Dignazio, Korie Paquette, Joshua Paquette, Michael Pachuta Jr., Stephanie Pachuta, Gabriel Pachuta, Danielle Pachuta, and great granddaughter Emmalin Dignazio. She is preceded in deather by her parents and sisters Elaine Fishbeck and Janet Magotch.
