Remembering Susan

Susan L. Rajic passed away peacefully on August 27, 2020, surrounded by loved ones. She was 56 years old.

Her family, along with her many friends, will miss her immensely for her sharp humor, keen wit, her sense of adventure, and her seemingly endless intellectual curiosity. Even in the most challenging of times, Susan  was a brave, optimistic soul. She was also adored for her authenticity, grit, fortitude, intelligence, kindness, compassion, and empathy.

Susan never stopped learning. She enjoyed keeping up with world news, politics and documentaries, and was an avid reader as well as an activist. Susan was passionate about dancing, eating healthy, and keeping  fit. She was born in Yonkers, New York, and was raised in Eastchester, New York. For most of her adult life, Susan lived and worked in Mexico as a massage therapist. She loved her job and her life there. In 2006, in order to advance her education for her career, she moved, temporarily, to San Francisco. Soon after, Susan moved to San Jose, California, where she spent the last 14 years.

Susan Lynn Rajic is survived by her father, Josip Rajic, brother, Robert Rajic, and her many family members who loved her dearly; this includes her close friends who meant the world to her and whom she always considered family. She is predeceased by her mother, Irene Thompson.
