Remembering Penny Smith

Patricia Alice (Donaldson) Smith 78, passed away on Friday, October 9th, 2020 at her home in Carrollton, Texas after a battle with the coronavirus.

Penny was born, January 26, 1942 to Ethel and Jim Donaldson in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Raised in Menomonie, Wisconsin she remained a proud Wisconsinite her whole life. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree from University of Washington in Seattle in Elementary Education. She taught for many years before starting her family. When returning to the workforce she worked in Commercial Real Estate in Building Management where she was beloved by her co-workers and tenants alike.

She is survived by her daughter Kristin Smith of Dallas, Texas and Sarah (Bradley) Spiering of Hillsboro, Oregon. Also, her sister Judith (Paul) Weber, and brothers Michael and Jeff (Mary) Donaldson. Not to mention countless nieces, nephews and her beloved granddaughter Samantha.

Penny loved to travel and read, but most of all loved family. She is remembered for being kind, unselfish and a hard-working single mother who always put her children and family first.

We will celebrate her with you virtually, Saturday, October 24th, 2pm Central Time.
