Biography
Childhood
Born in New York on Dec.31,1944, Mark Dijon Northern was the youngest of six children born to Sarah and Chauncey Northern.
Education and Career
With his love of dancing and his sense of humor, Mark was always the life of the party that illuminated all the family gatherings. Following his graduation from Dwight Morrow High School in Englewood, New Jersey, Mark served in the Army.
Obituary
Upon his honorable discharge, he married his first wife, Louise Mays and they had two children, Travis and Mark. He later apprenticed as a carpenter before settling into his beloved profession as a chef at the Radisson Hotel in New Jersey. Mark passed away on July 7th, 2020 at Bethel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Croton-On-Hudson, New York.
He is survived by his ex-wife, Louise, their two sons: Travis and his husband, Gabriel, and Mark Jr. and his fiancee, Kristen, by his sister, Yvonne Barnes, her daughter, Seela and her husband Duran Brazille, and her son Lucious and his wife, Charlotte, by his brother Glenn and his wife, Dianne, by his sisters-in-law, Cera, Annette and Akivah, by his nephews, Mario and his wife, Iona, Cinque and his partner Chandra, Glenn and his wife, Caryn, and Trodayne, by his nieces, Teri, Debra and Nicole, by his great-nieces, Kifaayah Hajar, Hasiyna, Sakinah, Nina and Vyonne, and by his great-nephews Aaron and Eliyyas.
