In Loving Memory

Charlene Marie Hausler went to be with the Lord on 7/31/2020 at the age of 74, where she battled COVID -19 pneumonia for 41 days at the St. Joseph's Hospital in Stockton, CA. She was born in Jamestown, New York, on December 1, 1945, to Ralph and Jean Merwin.

Charlene had a caring heart and an overflowing love for children, especially for those in need. She touched many lives with her tender heart and giving spirit. Her ambitions included an in-home daycare for over 40 years as well as fostering runaway girls. Charlene was a go-getter, starting two day cares centers from the ground-up, and drove a handicap bus for children. Because she couldn't sit still, she was always creating something crafty! For many years, Charlene had her own side business Button's and Bow's. She also had a love for dolls that included an extensive collection of her childhood doll, "Ginny."  Anything related to children or babies, she loved.

Charlene is survived by her husband Paul Hausler, brothers Don and David Merwin (brother Jim, who passed away April 20).  Because of her love and adoration for her mother, Charlene named all three of her daughters after her mother, Jean.
